A woman driving a Hummer 3 came to my store yesterday and said....
she worked for a gas company in the area and their COST went up 40 cents a gallon yesterday.

After she left, my husband and I were ROFLOAO that she had the nuts to complain when she was driving around in a vehicle that can barely fit down our tiny little main street.

All morning I have had in my head (sung to the tune of "what do you do with a drunken' sailor)

what do you do with a hummer driver,
what do you do with a hummer driver,
what do you do with a hummer driver, earl-ey in the mornin'.....

1. "Excuse me, but you drive a vehicle
Edited on Wed Aug-31-05 06:28 AM by ecoflame
that gets what - 8 miles to the gallon? - and you're complaining about the cost of gas going up. Buy a gotdamned bicycle! 40 cents per gallon - why that's an additional 12.00 dollars. What's the fucking problem? Just think of it as paying yourself!"

(Damned post button....

What color was that Hummer3?

2. People who drive Hummers
are brain dead in the first place. At this time in history anyone driving one of those obscenities ought to be considered a criminal on the loose. :grr:

4. I visited the gas pump
two days ago. A local farmer was on the other side of the pump. I told him I thought I'd need a second mortgage to pay for a full tank. He said he just put in $75 in his truck, and his son had done the same in his truck the day before. They only use these vehicles for work, and being farmers in the northeast, that means almost all day, every day.

The cost of gas used to transport their herds' milk, to cut corn, to spread "stuff" on the fields .... all this is going to get a lot more expensive. In central New York, family farms are having a tough enough time.

It isn't going to be long before everything inside the store has a price-increase similar to that at the pump.
