I'm not trained in medical or rescue work. I'd just be in the way. As a matter of fact, I have donated to the Red Cross (do you need to see my receipt?) and I'll be attempting to give blood in another two weeks as I just got deferred for low iron last week.

For the record, I'm very adept at multi-tasking. I can bitch about Bush, donate to the Red Cross, give blood and pray all at the same time. I appreciate the spirit of your post, but it came across as incredibly condescending. Peace.

they are the only ones as far as I can tell, who looked at the weather predictions for this year and stocked in as much food as they could ahead of time.

Those folks know how to help people and they waste very little. You don't see people getting rich working for the Salvation Army.

Is it just me or has it been a heavy month for people asking for donations for practically everything? It seems everyones asking for help lately. The people in NO need it yes, everyrone needs it but what do you when you live on five hundred a month from ssdi? Me am probably going to donate can goods at my church sunday but like i said my cash flows been bleed dry last month.
Sorry all these threads asking for me for money make me feel like crap because I literally don't have any to give.
