Um.. are any REPUBLICANS you know dismayed with the VACUUM of |
|
leadership during a huge national crisis?
I'm talking about Katrina, not the dropoff in support for Iraq occupation.

1. AWOL Bush is running and hiding AGAIN. Just like on 9/11/01 |
|
and when he joined the TANG. When there's trouble, AWOL Bush runs away.. you can set your watch by it.

...but they are not thinking about politics right now, neither am I really. I am in shock of what I see on TV, I can't even begin to imagine what all those people feel like who have lost their homes or their loved ones. The images of all those houses flooded up to the rooftops are unreal...
Right now I don't care about all the looting I don't care about gas prices I don't even care about Bush
I am worried about all these people...they have lost their homes and most likely their jobs...what on earth are these people going to do? There's only so long these people can live in the Astrodome.
The only good thing about tragedies such as this are when people start coming together to help the victims. All the shrill negativity and pointing fingers that I have been seeing all over DU lately does nothing for those who need help right now. To be perfectly frank, it makes me cringe. I'm sure this is not a popular view here at DU, but sometimes the extreme political rhetoric is inappropriate and unnecessary.
(BTW I am not directing this to anyone on this particular thread, just wanted to share this without starting a new Katrina thread)
