Where are they? Playing politics as usual...our "leaders", with a few exceptions, have their eyes on polls and dollars ahead of REALLY rolling up their sleeves and helping people.

Sure, they can sing God Bless America on the steps of the capital (with cameras rolling) or RUSH back to Washington from one of their many vacations to politicize a wedge issue.

But as New Orleans drowns, Mississippi digs out (not to mention the quagmire they HELPED CREATE in Iraq worsens), they watch the polls and the dollars.

And (the collective) WE let them get away with it every time.

I'm wondering where our whole federal government is - this is insane. I have 60-some people a block away from me in an Arkansas shelter, there are thousands homeless all over the gulf south, and it looks like our president and his buddies - ALL of them - in Congress are ignoring it. I am so sick of it.

The only thing that improves my attitude any more is going up to the shelter and chopping up vegetables for dinner, or goo-gooing at the babies there.

Impeachment is too good for Bush - and any of the oblivious fools that are masquerading as our congressmen.
