I just waited in line to fill up at $2.69 |
|
Never thought I'd see the day. LINES for that price.
It was $2.59 at 7am. Gas station attendant said they expected to tack on at least 30 cents by this afternoon, and that once they're out of Regular they don't know when they'll get more gas. Some area stations are already out of regular, and others have already bumped the price to $2.89 (which is expected to climb as well).
This is SE Kentucky, btw.
I'd recommend that everyone go out and fill up as soon as you can, and really try to conserve as much gas as possible. Looks like there will be a shortage very soon.

1. Huh. That's pretty cheap. |
|
I can see why there were lines.
I dreamed last night that it hit $3.50 and people were literally crying while filling up their gas tanks.

......for the lowest grade. I filled up late Sunday since it looked like prices were going to go up again.
I haven't seen any lines here yet to buy gas but that doesn't mean it won't happen.........

6. Topped $3.00 in Des Moines |

Considering inflation this is the highest price ever for gasoline here in Iowa - more so than the energy crisis in the 70's.
