83 yr old WWII vet schools Neil Cavuto (video)
WWII Veteran debunks WWII/Iraq Comparison

Tom Mahoney stuck it to Neil Cavuto yesterday as he didn't go along with President Bush's idea that Iraq and WWII are similar in any way.

1. "If you aren't there don't say we're winning."
Talk about getting your dick knocked in the dirt, eh, Neil.

Hi Cat!
:hi: Did you get a new Tom?

2. I think it would be great
if this man had a talk with idiot boy. I tells the truth, do you think the emperor could come back with any of his disgusting talking points?

3. I saw the repeat of that last night while in bed.
And this Cavuto guy was stunned by his answers. I was laying there with a smile on my face. That was great.:-)

6. Cavuto was dumbstruck. Totally flattened
I heard this on Air America yesterday as I was driving home from work. Couldn't stop laughing. Mr. Mahoney was so direct and unflinching. Cavuto was floundering and sputtering and so desperate. A truly wonderful little sequence.
See, Bushies, this is what happens when your careful vetting goes wrong. You confront real America. People not paid for by your cabal. People not sent in like reinforcements by your PR firms.
Just a real American speaking the truth.
Scary, isn't it, Neil?
Imagine what would happen to Rush, Sean, Bill, and all the other blatherers if they had to talk to, gasp!, real people instead of the fixed fight, pro-wrestling world of talk radio.

12. It won't be as bad
as the punishment for the producer who let Mr. Mahoney "through" without proper screening. That person was sent directly to Abu Gharab for some of that "frat boy" treatment.

8. I watched that interview last night
Cavuto tried and tried to get him to sing the reich-wing kool-aid mantra - but he would have nothing to do with it.

Those guys had (have) guts - wish some of our Demo's would watch this clip.

10. I watched this last night!
and I NEVER watch Fox. I was in bed switching channels to find info on Katrina. MSNBC and CNN were doing something dumb so I thought "Fox can't be that bad on this kind of thing" and pushed channel 49 for the first time in a year.

It was great. Right after the interview (which they seemed to cut off quickly with some condescending comment about the guy being 83 "years young" gag) they said they were going to talk after the break about why foreign countries were not offering aid. I'd seen the post here about how other countries were offering but Bush was turning them down. I was gonna send it to Fox and a letter to the editor of our paper but it seems the source for that is not so great.

Anyway, glad they got the clip. It was great TV.

11. I think that "other countries not offering aid"
is just another attempt to divide.

13. I agree
feeds that nationalism bording on xenophobia the conservatives love so much.

Why should other countries help us? We're the bomb! (as kids would say). We've got everything they want.
