Actions and inactions have consequences...

When we go to war on lies, there are consequences. When we send our troops and National Guard to defend these special interests, there are consequences. When we steal elections and spit in the face of our opposition, there are consequences. When we bully our way around the world and use our military for questionable purposes, there are consequences. When we ignore taking care of our own people and spend our fortunes in foreign lands, there are consequences. One doesn't have to be a scholar of the Bible or even believe in the Bible to know that we do indeed reap what we have sown. No one could stop the hurricane, not the Democrats or Republicans, but we could be better prepared by making better decisions and taking actions that are beneficial rather than violent toward our fellow man...None of us is exempt from disaster and tragedy. It can happen to any of us.

1. Agreed. Change will happen only when people are uncomfortable enough

So long as the discomfort happens slowly, there will be complaining but people will adjust. Rapid discomfort, like is happening now, will hopefully cause positive change in the long run. Heartbreaking suffering now, hoping long term change though.
