Rachel talking about how the Bush Administration failed regarding NO.
She is subbing for Al Franken this week and she said that a report was given to them that outlined the three disasters that they needed to make a plan and allocate funds for. This was before 9-11. So the three things that they said would be possible disasters were a terrorist attack (it happened), a hurricane in New Orleans, (it just happened), and an earthquake in San Francisco (yet to happen).

But instead of taking care of these matters they have diverted funds that should have been used for this (like funds for the Army Corp of Engineers to make better levees in NO), sent most of the National Guard to Iraq and did nothing about an evacuation plan needed.

So, San Franciscans and Californians in general, we need to check on what is being done in California and what our White House installed Governor is up to in these matters. And everyone, we need to push for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney.

1. Also the 2003 fires in CA, Bush turned down fund requests prior
to the fire to do some management stuff in reducing the hazard and for additional resources.
Not examined by the media.

2. Not only does BushCo need to go, but we have to
do something to break up this media partisanship and make them stick to reporting the facts.

3. Cut Funds
It was reported yesterday, I believe it was on Democracy Now that Bush was about to cut funds for the New Orleans Hurricane Budget by at least multimillions of dollars.
