Gas @ $3.25 in some areas of Milwaukee |
I'm on the phone with my daughter right now who lives there. Last night I witnessed a complete meltdown at a Citgo station, and I live in a red area (NE WI). About 8 people were ripping on Bush, perpetuated by a pizza delivery guy in his 40's. I was glad my daughter witnessed this because she thinks I'm the only one who is raving mad at Bush. It was wonderful to watch. The antiBush rant was started by a woman in her late 70's, and the pizza guy was off to the races. He knew releasing the oil reserves was probably too little too late with the refineries down. It was great!! No one disagreed. Sadly, this is going to cause suffering. But people are waking up finally.

5. Haven't bought gas since Monday when it was $3 in SoCal |
The news is showing a lot of SoCAl gas already above $3/gallon. Are we headed to $3.50 or even $4?

October futures up another .40 so far today.
* is going to "pay" (politically) for this one way or another for sure (while we pay financially, unfortunately)

7. Haven't seen it myself, but... |
I've heard the few open stations here in Baton Rouge are charging $3.15 per gallon. Before the storm, it was somewhere around $2.45.

8. Still $2.59 for unleaded in Salt Lake |
But maybe they haven't changed their prices yet. Some stations at $2.69. The calm before the storm I think...

10. I got out this afternoon... |
I didn't see any with prices quite that high. Quite possibly, it was a localized case of gouging.
