Past and present NOLA residents please check in here...
Why am I angry at some of the posts here today? I know people mean well but I keep feeling like they don't understand. Why?

The scope of the issues facing NOLA right now is @ a magnitude never seen here in the US. We all knew it would happen but we never thought Katrina would be the one. Those of us with friends and family in the area would like all of you to donate and if you can volunteer in any capacity you can to help out. Maybe I'll see you down there when it is o.k. for us to go in.

Please post words of comfort to past and present NOLA residents.
