Has anyone heard this unconfirmed report ?: Gas rationing @ 3pm today
My office manager just got a 2 calls from friends in a local fed. gov't office (Athen, GA area). Is this just a wild rumor or is it true. I wouldn't doubt it could happen. However, the source is a Republican. Could it just be a RW rumour?

1. These rumors were bandied about and dismissed this morning...
here in Florida. I wouldn't worry over it. It's probably just a rumor.

6. if supply dries up too quickly
we could see some rationing to stabilize prices. If stations start running out, then the competitors will start jacking up thier prices

7. No, we have no infrastructure for rationing ...

You would simply see $6.00/gallon gas. The market would take care of the rest. And most of those SUVs will be parked.

9. I went and filled up since I was on empty anyway: gas $2.93/GAL reg

Ouch. There were lines at every gas station in the area. Maybe it's just a ploy to get people to buy lots of expensive gas. I needed to fill up. Mr. CottonBear, by chance, just filled up the other cars yesterday. We'll see what is true and what is not.

I suspect RW radio rumour, myself. The two big transmission pipelines have been damaged but hopefully are being repaired. The big Colonial line runs through Athens, GA.
