Why in the heck are gulf state's NG in IRAQ during hurricane season? |

Edited on Wed Aug-31-05 01:16 PM by sloppyliberal
I don't know the extend of which NG units are where, but it seems really bloody stupid to have NG units from areas at risk of hurricane/storm damage in Iraq during hurricane season.
Not to mention, someone still needs to explain to me why the National Guard is off fighting a war in another country. I always kinda assumed the National Guard's job was to guard the Nation
Anyone have a clue?

1. Because Bush & Co. are all political cowards. |
|
They weren't willing to start a military draft to staff their bogus war, so they tapped into the N.G. as a convenient substitute.
