Tried to watch TV news because of the flooding. |

I just can't do it. I feel dumber for having watched it for a few minutes.
Wolf Someone and some guy (Tom Foreskin? Forehead? Can't remember). They're just pointing at these photos. "See this here? This is a river. See how it winds all the way around?"
Then you've got those CNN helicopters flying around videotaping people stranded on rooftops and stuff, waving white t-shirts and probably thinking "why the hell can't they help us?"
Sorry guys wave for the nice camera! We see that you're totally stranded, probably have no food or clean water, but um, we're just filming you. SMILE!
I mean what the fuck.
Now I was just told New Orleans is below sea level.
It's like Remedial Stupidity for Idiots.
I can't believe I actually thought I'd learn something by turning on the TV. My mistake. I'll remember next time.
P.S. What are people doing who have to take certain prescription medications daily?

1. I use a lot of energy filtering the information. For, instance a man sayin |
|
something about 8,000 medical personal that FEMA is deployeing. but nothing about when or when or the pratical uses they are put to. useless.

4. I've noticed they are often wildly inaccurate on TV news, too. |
|
When did that start happening? I thought when I was a kid (70s) you could **generally** rely on the TV news to be **fairly** accurate.
Now if I really want to know what's going on, very up to the minute, I turn to LBN here or other internet sources.

7. Which is why I never watch them. |

Doesn't matter anyway, if gas keeps going up, we're cancelling the cable.

5. You want to know stupid? On CNBC they have a map with a major |
|
oil pipeline drawn across the states. The guy is explaining why gas prices will go up now that that pipeline flow has been disrupted. He said that it would take 11,000 tanker trucks every two minutes to deliver the equivalent amount of oil.
Okay. Any Al Qaeda out there?

6. Just keep checking things out on DU. And Air America. |
|
That's my sources right now--glad too for posts from Truthout, etc. Otherwise, MSM news is no help except for those videos of the death and destruction with no insight as to WHY! Maybe Bush can write a book--"The Presidency for Dummies." Or maybe "How to Destroy Two (may be many more before he's done) Countries without Really Trying."
I just want to scream. There is no hope for us now. May God help us all, if he's not done with us (as my daughter claims he is).
Maybe Bush can clear this all up for us with his speech to the nation this afternoon. Yeah, right...
