There is something sick about the smiles from NY Stock exchange

at the closing bell. Even when there is bad news in the world or the nation, those guys and gals smile and clap like they're at a Polo match. They seem so disconnected from any tragedy that goes on in this country.

BTW, oil was below $69.00.

3. Our problem is not availability. It was distribution.
Bush may have stemmed the increase by releasing the reserve.

And I just saw the CNN clip of the ringing of the bell, with all these rich white folks grinning as if the rest of us peons are aliens from another planet. It's truly creepy.

7. Right now they are discussing how Katrina will affect the Economy.
I think they're about to say that it might be good. Depends on the "Supply shock," whatever that is.

The reason was they figured the longer the war, the more government money that would flood their coffers.
