Jean Meserve
Deserves a medal.
She seems to be really feeling this.

1. Yes, I agree
She's done plenty of these hurricanes but this is the first one where I've seen her get so emotional.

11. This seems to be of a totally different scale than everything else these
last few years.

In addition, the evacuation and rescue efforts seem to be so mismanaged that it is difficult to believe.

13. I think it's the total helplessness that's getting to the reporters
So many people just aren't getting any help. I agree, this is a scale we've never seen. The media is withholding footage, I'm convinced of it.

8. Her voice was cracking while she stated that she
would not be at all surprised if the death toll was in the thousands. She looks like she is going into shock from everything she sees there.

9. She's just telling some of the
things she has personally seen.

She is in Baton Rouge now, she said they just wanted to get back with their families.

She talked about people begging for help and not being able to help them.

10. She was one of the reporters on the scene the first night
She was choked up, talking to Aaron Brown, about the people stuck on rooftops and the dogs stuck in the water being electrocuted in power lines.

4. I've heard her.
She seems very upset. So did Robin Roberts from Good Morning America. They sent her back to the area of her hometown. She said that most of it was gone.

7. Over the weekend she was crying while
reporting the horrible things she saw like dogs crying while being wrapped in electrical wiring, being electrocuted, and people screaming for help

Maybe this will wake up the MSM to the horror they have unleashed on us - maybe it will open their eyes, seems like one of the Faux reporters has seen the light on the overpass....

12. Jeanne has excelled during what has been the worst disaster
she has ever witnessed. She has been the eyes and ears of the people and the shining light at CNN. CNN has sucked - but Jeanne has really been the premier reporter on this and she works for CNN.

15. Ha! to the desperate or to reporters?
Seriously, to whom was that a "powerful symbol?" To someone on a roof who just saw another aircraft that wasn't going to save them?

16. Oh I don't know
I think I agree with her on that, it was a powerful symbol, that the asshole has his head in the clouds while the rest of the US is grieving.

17. It doesn't matter who is in the plane
It's the President's job to at least seem like he cares - if only it had been sooner, and there was more meaning attached to it this time around.

that it took so long to be heard by the Pres is amazing
