Jeanne Meserve back on CNN, very critical of the rescue efforts.

She's very shook up about the lack of police and emergency workers. She described a woman who's relative needed dialysis and was dying, and the police told her there was absolutely nothing they could do.

She describes police standing by while stores are ransacked. She's sympathetic, but critical that a national response hasn't ramped up yet.

She's now discussing the hotel evacuations, and says that many of the hotels remain in dire condition, with no plumbing or electricity.

6. I grew up with hurricanes. The National Guard was ALWAYS

there to rescue with helicopters, bring in food and water, help with debris removal and deal with potential looting.

Is that she allowed the evacuated women from NOLA vent about the horrible lack of planning and preparation for this. You get the feeling that Meserve is letting this woman say exactly what she herself is feeling but can't say on the corpo-CNN.

There's going to be just mountains of anger over this once the shock wears off.
