Guns and weapons being looted
Saw a report on CNN about pawn and sport shops being looted for weapons, I fear Katrina may be a "side" story compared to what this may mean.

I'd do the same.

4. One store was a WalMart. Family values galore.
With looters shooting I guess I would want a gun.

5. The downtown Wal-Mart was completely cleaned out of firearms...
If I was still in New Orleans -- and if I knew I had to stay there for the foreseeable future -- after I got food and water, firearms would be next on my list.
Ahem. That is, of course, if I didn't already own several

6. Certainly brings up some interesting issues. If the gun shops are
not available..they can just break into the average home and get the gun there..this is America.

7. Of Course They Are. What Else Would You Expect?
They are small, easy to carry, and have great resale value. Look, if you're going to steal something you start with the diamonds and gold coins and then work your way down. Guns are way above color TV sets on the looting scale of things.
