Wow, corporations are sooooo generous. |
|
GM is cutting people 90 day payment deferments without penalty! And they are lending 25 whole vehicles to the rescue effort! Sweet!
Ford is giving people 60 day deferments on loans too! Fuckin-A!
Carnival Cruise Lines states that using cruise ships as refuges creates a whole list of problems, and they are going to give it some thought. Yayyyy, at least they're gonna think about it!
Oh, and in case you have not figured it out: :sarcasm:

4. I'm feeling a little pissed today, |
|
people are dead, and are going to be dying by the hundreds, if not thousands, of disease.
This hurricane was not a surprise, but no agency seems to have planned for it.
And the fucking corporations are only worried about the bottom line.

3. This is why i smile at the Wal-Mart commercials |
|
They tout their "service to the community" and blah-blah-blah. 1. They wouldn't need advertisements to tell us how generous their company is if their positive impact on the community matched the negative impact.
2. I presume that Wal-Mart would not even be worried about giving back to the community if people didn't hate them so much. I am convinced that the underlying motives (for GM and Ford, and Wal-Mart) are PR related.
I realize that these companies don't HAVE to do community "service", for lack of a better term, I do, however, question their motives.
