How much you wanna bet, if Kerry had won the Presidential Election...
Edited on Wed Aug-31-05 05:30 PM by Placebo
by now all the Jerry Falwells and Pat Robertsons of the "family values" religious crowd would be on TV all "Jesus made this happen! It's our punishment for electing a homo-loving atheist traitor!"

5. I bet he'd have been in command from Saturday on
and worked tirelessly to mitigate the effects of this catastrophe.

And I bet we would have our National Guard and their equipment at home to do the huge job that needs to be done.

7. And I bet the funding that would have secured the levees...
wouldn't have been cut, and I bet he wouldn't have been holed up in his Boston Mansion for the past 4 weeks either.

11. Is that true?
Do you know for sure that the funding was cut for the levee maintenance? If so... :grr:

13. Here's a link to the story...
Although, it happened last year... and who knows if Kerry would have put the money back into the fund - the bottom line is, the Bush Administration knew about the levee problems and cut their funding anyway.

9. Do you think...
that we'd be hearing about how he cut his "vacation" short by two days to deal with the disaster? :eyes:

10. He wouldn't have been on extended "vacation"
He would have gotten his ass on the air Monday, addressed the nation, STUCK TO THE SUBJECT (!!!), offered condolences, and offered to do whatever possible to help these people - including re-deploying NG troops...to the hurricane-stricken areas. That's what a real leader does.
