This Photo Shows a New Orleans Family Staying Put
I can't imagine what this couple must be going through. Far be it for me to prejudge them. For their own sake, I hope they evacuate. But can I even say that? I'm not there. I'm safely esconed on dry land, just trying to imagine what these people must be going through.

Underneath the picture caption is a bar that says PHOTOS, with options that include NEW ORLEANS. Pick NEW ORLEANS and go to Photo #15.

It shows a middle-aged black couple in the 9th ward of New Orleans. Their home and surrounding area is flooded what looks like about 4 or 5 feet. They are peering out of a window and the caption says they said they don't want to be rescued. They want to stay put.
