This all makes me miss Bill Clinton
You know how he'd be all over this, with tons of empathy. That man knew how to act during a time like this so well, it makes Bunnypants seem all the more incompetent. It's really sad how we've gone from that great man to the numbnuts we have now. The republicans so railroaded that man for a insignificant little mis-step. Now they give this moran a pass on some of the worst lies the US has ever seen

1. Yep
The Big Dog would have been all over this a week ago. You can't stop a hurricane, but you can by god prepare for one.

2. Oh yes, I needed a dose of Clinton's eloquence
after hearing that fake sympathy today.

3. Remember how New Yorkers were all over Clinton after 9/11..
when he went to New York? They were sooo glad to see him. Bush hadn't even shown up yet.

5. Plus
He wouldn't have cut funding to first-responders and flood defenses. If he was waging a war of some kind (not implausible) he wouldn't have sent all the National Guardsmen away from their posts. Sigh, so many things a REAl President would've done. But this ain't a real President.

I think the song title speaks for all of us: Wake Me When September Ends

6. I remember...
when the Mississippi River flooded and he hugged this little girl and comforted her.

People joke about it but he really could feel their pain.

I just imagine what President Kerry would be doing. He would have addressed the nation by now asking them to send donations and aid to help the people hurt by Katrina.

7.  picture of Clinton last week - vacation on Kauai
http://starbulletin.com/2005/08/27/news/story3.html

he looks happy!

Bubba visited Bubba Burgers in Hanalei, Kauai, yesterday.

The Bubba in this case is former President Bill Clinton, who goes by the nickname. He took pictures with the employees and got a shirt with the slogans -- "We cheat tourists, drunks and attorneys" and "We relish your buns" -- and a hat.

9. He deserves to be happy. He really did work his a$$ off.
Unlike our current occupant. Clinton was a real President; I didn't agree with everything he did, but I felt like he was trying to do the right thing 99% of the time.

Thanks, Bill. We miss you!

15. article says he was eating breakfast next door

when the staff at Bubba's called him over.

He was 'too early' to eat a hamburger there.

How nice and obliging of him to go visit! SIGH.
