3. No Comparison. One of the largest cities in America is Gone. |

We haven't begun to see the cost of this in life, economy, or many other as yet to be considered ways.

9/11 really only personally affected a few thousand people (no matter what the RWers say). Katrina killed at least that many, and very likely 3,4, or 5 times more. Hundreds of thousands more lost everything they own, including homes.

It affects so many more people directly, not to mention has killed many times the number of people killed on 9/11. The impact on the economy may also be more severe. And New York survived and is doing fine. Much of New Orleans is gone.

because the world knows now how vulnerable the US are. And the enemies of America are going to use it.
9/11 showed maybe a flaw, a simple weakness. Not this magnitude of total incompetence besides the fact that the poor, weak, soft belly of the magnificent eagle is exposed...

for whom 9/11 was the opportunity for a major power grab, this is a political disaster.
He is being seen as incompetant right at the begining of the crisis and he can never recover. He can only hope to divert attention with the terrorist threat abroad.

Bush was always a puppet of others who used him to obtain the power grab.
Those same forces behind the scenes are still benefitting from New Orleans, even if they have to dispose of their loyal stupid servant the chimp.
A. Have you checked oil prices since Tuesday?
B. Did that rise have anything to do with what is going on there?
C. Doesn't it follow that after such impressive results for some, more terror will continue to be allowed to happen or be directly inflicted on us ?

When 9/11 happened only a few people (like me) thought our government was in any way culpable. This time, though Bush didn't cause Katrina, global warming helped intensify it, his budgetary stupidity helped the levees break, and the total incompetence of him and his appointees killed god/dess only knows how many people, slowly and painfully. And that's just the immediate short-term effects.
