Does * really think that photo ops of him kissing black kids
will exonerate him from his criminal negligence of thousands of hurricane victims? I have been numb about this POS for some time now, but this latest, absolutely unbelievable and unnecessary outrage has incited my angst one more time. Dear God, how much more is this country going to tolerate????

at the Repukes that we never have to experience such a nightmare again. Human beings are capable of learning. I HOPE!

He's also a totally incompetent nitwit. Our nation's very own Nero.

16. Sure they were Black Young Woman

It has always been "OK" for a White Man to handle a Black Woman in a too familiar way.

I was so angry to see him put his slimy hands on those lovely young ladies being used as props!

Their clothes looked brand new and they were asking where they could get clothes?

It was so phony from start to finish.

10. It was so obviously a photo-op
I can't say I was surprised to see footage of him "comforting" the victims. I did think it was interesting how all the media footage showed him comforting the same two people.

they were not even from Biloxi. They were Latino and had no idea whatsoever what was going on.

9. Rove can't spin nature - all of the naked emperor's efforts this week -
cutting cake, the guitar, the concerned airforce 1 window stare, the blank, three stooge cross armed with other idiot pics from the hangar today, his botched, awkward, spaghetti brain random news conferences - all have been utter disasters. They have met their match, and this will be their undoing - at last.

11. Bush is over.
Unless he can raise the dead that FEMA has killed with their incompetence, then he's finished. Opinion has hardened in the last couple days. He was too slow this time and it's going to cost him.

15. No, but he knows it would be worse if he didn't.
The country will actually tolerate quite a bit more of this. Bush is in for years, there's still plenty of ways in which the next village idiot can snooker the populace, and it would take the votes of extremist republican senators to displace shrub (remember that even Lott is still on board the crazy train 110%.)

19. Oh please, give our President a break and a chance.
I feel very comforted by his genuine warmth and sincerity shown today. I don't know why it took him all week to muster a warm smile and a hug for a victim. We could've all rested easier had he done this on, lets say, Wednesday?

I'm off now to enjoy my Labor Day, maybe have a few beers and watch a couple games. Any Nascar on? Phew, glad that thing down there in Nor Leans is over.

:sarcasm:

23. There is no spin fast or slick enough
No happy face that can be put on it.
No scapegoat it will stick to.

This is our government, and it has failed to safeguard the public
wellbeing. It pulled money away from a situation damn near every expert knew was going to become a massive disaster and then said it was unexpected. It stood back and watched while the poor of the south died and rotted in the muck.

Our president ate cake and played guitar while the children died of thirst, and the food and water shortages caused first panic, then riot.

Then, they blamed the rioters, as though somehow it was the fault of the poor, abandoned, people of New Orleans, left to die while the ultimate in white flight drove away in their SUV's.

Everyone knows it, even the NeoCons, whose pathetic attempts to distance themselves from direct culpability will probably not save them from the long memories, and the smoldering rage in thousands and thousands of survivors.

They can never escape this, never live it down, spin it off, or flip the finger at it. It can't be helped by press confernces, or smear campaigns. It will cling to them like an odor that can never be washed off, strangely like the smell of rotting corpses.

they must have had to set this up. How would they even talk about it? To quote Jon Stewart: "It's like they think we're retarded." Unfortunately, about 40% of us are.

pathetic staged pics. Even the retarded can get the difference.
