They are talking about the Draft again.....

my wife first brought it to my attention. she suggested that the new orleans disaster would be the catalyst that bushco needs to kick off the draft again. she hates bush worse than me even.

then yesterday i saw wolf blitzkrieg and jack offerty discussing it too. 'should we reinstate the draft to assist new orleans AND continue to fight the war on terror'?

oh brother. we have 3 kids, two sons, one 34 and one 21, prime draft fodder.

1. Volunteer army is not working while feds start wars overseas and we

face disasters at home. A standing army would have/should have completed the rescues in NOLA by now. Trent Lott said, it takes time for a citizen army to mobilize which, in his opinion, is why rescue efforts and response to katrina have been so agonizingly slow.

We can see now, what will happen when a terrorist attack finally takes down one of our cities. You will be strictly on your own.

2. For NOLA, we don't need a draft. We need a NRA program like

the Civilian Conservation Corps that really built this country during the Depression and throughout the war.
