"The Constant Gardener" - Viewer question : How does Tessa so easily |
|
dismiss her anger about Iraq and the UK's participation in it? Turns it off like a switch - ho-hum.
Then, to add insult to injury, she apologizes for her outburst without even needing to.
From that point on, it's hard to believe her "feisty" persistence into the other issue of the movie.
Just a perspective.

the chemistry between her and Justin overcame her lividity. Once the honeymoon wore off, she returned to her normal anger level. :)

4. Passionate people can be passionate about many things simultaneously |
|
and how do we know she turned it off?? Remember, we only saw pieces of their life, not a continuing nonstop story.
I think her passion was transferred to Justin and to her other project of the big pharma.
As for apologizing when she "didn't need to"..well I don't agree...she saw that the man Justin, was a gentle soul and he was indeed filling in for another gov't official who was supposed to speak that day.
Have you never had a passionate outburst and then when you are finished and spent, you feel a bit embarrassed about allowing another person to see the depth of your soul?
To me that just showed me how truly passionate a woman she was about many causes and certainly added to the poignancy of the entire story.
I would recommend this movie very highly. Powerful & moving. Intense and graphic. Glad I saw it. 10/10 stars!!
Rachel Weis was incredible as was Fiennes.
