I was just watching CNN a bit ago and

they had a sound bite from Howard Dean at the DNC Meeting today immediately followed by Wesley Clark, and Dean looked so much sharper and sounded so much more like a leader than Clark. Dean was speaking passionately without script, hammering the Bush Junta, while Clark sounded sheepish looking down the whole time reading his notes.

Sorry, just had to throw that out there. Did anyone else see?

Any of the democratic candidates can cut down Bush in a debate. The guy is a nitwit. He doesn't do unscripted interviews. He cannot deal with surprises.
Losing the debate is Al Gore's eternal albatros.

Throw in one unexpected attack and watch the SOB crumble. He can't smirk his way out of an intelligent debate. That's why he avoids them.

have in Dean and Clark are chocolate cake and apple pie, both desserts, both very different in taste and delievery. Both delicious.
Dean has so much passion and fight in him, and Clark has savy. It matters not how they appear in snippets and sound bites. WE CAN SUPPORT EITHER ONE,RIGHT?

10. I really hope that one of them

gets head of the ticket (obviously for me Clark) but that regardless of who gets the nod, the other one becomes the VP.

I picked Clark b/c of his tremendous foreign policy experience, besides the fact that I am very impressed with his decision making process. I know someone's going to call me out but I do think national security is the overriding issue in this election and nothing remains unaffected by it - not the economy, not trade, not the environment. I think Clark has the clear advantage on issues of national security. The President of the United States isn't just President of the United States, but "leader of the free world" and I think Clark is the clear winner for that.

But I think Dean has solid domestic policy credentials (no foreign policy ones) and that's why I think it should be Clark/Dean.

If it turns out to be Dean/Clark, I think it'll still be a pretty good ticket. I'm just worried that the negativity will create too many bitter and betrayed feelings.

Dean FIRST and FOREMOST. He, to me, is CLEARLY the best candidate running. The real deal, as it were.

However, when/if Clark clarifies his war stance, his Democratic Party stance, his PNAC connections, and a few other things, I MIGHT consider voting for him should he get the nomination.

Right now, to be honest, I'm wary of Clark.

I don't trust generals becoming Presidents without first proving that they can win a lower civilian political office in the party they claim to be a member of, like governor, senator, or US Rep, manage the affairs of that office well, and win re-election once before running for President.

The 2004 Dem ticket for me is Dean/Gov Richardson of New Mexico. Richardson is a Democrat, a current governor, former US Rep, and has foreign policy expertise. Bush Admin asked him to negotiate for a short time with North Korea last year.
