If the death toll is high, Katrina is what Bush will be remembered for |
|
They can spin it all they want and try to hide the numbers, but this is too big for him to overcome. It will be the lasting monument to his reign of death.

1. This and the blatant manipulation of the public and the march to an unjust |

war fought under the words of "fighting terrorism" and that ironically makes the US more vulnerable to terrorism.
These two items - will be among the things that will follow Bushjr as his presidential reputation.

Numbers are just statistics. What people will remember is the pain and suffering of the survivors - now that our press has found their integrity again (at least for awhile). This is what Bush will be remembered for.

American citizens were abandoned by the U.S. federal government. This will not be forgotten.

that we had people in Hawaii who knew the tsunami was on its way Dec 26 2004 but did not contact the appropriate authorities in Indonesia so that warnings could go out.
Now they see how ineffective we are, and how little we care for human life. Great technology, but no management, and no values. That's the USA.
I've always thought we valued "american" life over the rest of the world, but apparently poor southerners don't even count as "americans" to this president.
