Bush is particularly pleased to see
the way the churches, synagogues and mosques have come together to donate to the relief funds... per his press conference today. Please, give me a break. Is there anything that comes out of his mouth that is not ill chosen. This statement is an insult to all who gave through other means. I'm sure far greater dollars are raised through non-religious organizations. The point is, however, this fund raising is not a contest and there is no winner. He is a jerk.

1. Isn't the federal government suppose to do something
in a national emergency or has that been outsourced to corporate and faith based initiatives?

2. Bush is still pushing his damned faith-based policy crap.
It's all about his brilliant policies and what a hero he is in his own mind.

4. But it is a way to boost support for faith based stuff
Remember what he actually said - "the gov't will do it's part". To me that is him saying the gov't will do the absolute least they can, I mean, after all, we have to cut the deficit so maybe he can squeeze one more round of tax cuts for the rich folks.
