I sent this email to CNN. It's a bit angry, but I've had enough. Feel free to use what you'd like, put things in your own words, and send your opinion along to CNN.http://www.cnn.com/feedback/Lou Dobbs, Sept. 5, 3:10 PST
RE: Debra Ferrick (spelling my be incorrect.)
What in the world was this woman talking about? The hurricane did not change at the last second. And they had no warning and could not expect the levees to break? Huh? The general public understood this since Thursday, why not Ms. Ferrick?
Answer this question: How was it the media was there before the Federal Government? How could Arthel Neville float through New Orleans on a small raft and our National Guard not able to enter the city?
Where are you finding your reporters? I realize that facts are difficult for the corporate media to follow, but every other reporter seems to understand the common knowledge that the Bush administration cut the funding from the Army Corps of Engineers that were strengthening the levees of my beloved New Orleans.
I suggest you help Ms. Ferrick find the Weather Channel on her television so she, too, can understand the course of the storm and when the rest of the planet knew of the storm changes.
It's amazing, the Governor of Louisiana and Mayor of New Orleans knew of these changes. Naturally, the White House was too busy vacationing, cutting birthday cake, shoe shopping in New York City and catching Padres games to pay any attention. It's a shame Ms. Ferrick also seems to be on vacation from reality.
I am so tired of the lack of actual reporting that has been going on in this country. I have had enough of reporters who are basically taking up air time, but not bothering to check their facts. It's a disgrace and the world is laughing at our pure stupidity.
