Late summer next year - with Bush dying in the polls so precipitously that even if they steal the election through black box voting people will seriously smell a rat, the Neo-Con War Party may decide that the only thing that can keep them in power is another terrorist attack on American soil...

We know that these Neo-Cons despise Democratic areas of the country -thus the attacks on NYC. We know that they like to lionize Repug thugs like Guliani by setting them up as "heroes" who bravely stand before microphones and rally the citizenry after disasters...

Ergo...

It's already been drummed into the American consciousness that another attack is sure to come. Cheney has even said, "when, not if."
There have been reports about how easy it is to smuggle WMD-type materials through the west coast harbours - again, to plant that image psychologically into the minds of the American people.

I can see it now...Arnold giving a press conference in front of a backdrop of disaster, the Right Wing Media lauding his strength and courage, Arnold praising Bush for instituting martial law and cancelling the elections..."Ve are in a time of crisees! Now is not duh time for division and political infighting! Let me tell you something, I can guarantee that President Bush is only doing what he thinks is best for duh people of Calley-fornya and Amerry-ka!"

It's good to see you, man. Yeah, Arnold as governor, standing atop the smouldering wreckage is one of my nightmares too...but...

It is one thing for George W. Bush to be insulated in his "bubble" of an Imperial Presidency, but it would be quite another thing for a governor of California to accomplish that. I think any well-insulated California governor would simply be ignored or openly mocked.

Watch Tom McClintock and the other "ideologically pure" Republicans and Libertarians. They could get along with someone likd Reagan, but Bush and Arnold leave them cold.

7. It's just occurred to me why I hate these types of posts

And it's not just because I find them ludicrous.

This is it: If you are right, Bush is a fascist who has killed thousands of Americans for his own benefit. Therefore, we are at war with a dictator. Obviously, we need guns because clearly we are not going to beat these people in something as trivial as an election.

Basically, if you are right the only solution left is armed revolution. This is not a very happy thought. I don't want to be a revolutionary; I want to be the owner of a Plasma TV.

If you are right, it also begs the question, why are you not out organizing an armed militia to stop W and his cronies. I mean, if they are capable of doing what you suggest, you are really wasting your time talking on a chat board, where you can be monitored.
