Do Freepers troll this board often?

I've just reported someone who only has 4 posts, one of which defends Ann Coulter and says "she backs up her points which is something you leftists never do" or something to that extent. That can be found in the thread "Communist Party USA endorses Democrats in 04!"

Does this happen often?

they spend an inordinate amount of time here pretending to be Democrats. The wackier one ones do hit and run posting of obviously RW crap.

But others are more subtle than that. They come on board, spend a lot of time running up posts, ingratiating themselves to the community, breaking none of the rules -- but time always let's us see them for the trolls they are. :)

they are more like limits than anything else. Freepers have strict rules, more like secrecy oaths, than anything else I can compare it with.

DUer's are not afraid of opposing thoughts like the freepers. We have known for a long time, that wrapping yourself in the flag, or suppressing others right to dissent, breaks the very back of the Constitution, and our nation of Liberty. That's one of the reasons we fight these clods.

DUer's feel free to interpret things the way they see them, and offer diverse discussions. Freepers, on the other hand, are the one's with the myriad of rules about how their party is discussed, and what is acceptable.

The Dem party is the party of ALL of the people who can think in longer than 2 strands, and we are the party that is willing to discuss our differences.

No one at DU that I know of, will call down the wrath of God to suit their own purposes or in an attempt to 'change things'.

Trolls are out there, and they do indeed show themselves as the cynical RWer's they are. Sometimes it's quick, but sometimes it takes awhile, but they always expose themselves.

As for allowing debates or a forum with them in DU, HELL NO! As Skittles stated above, they own everything elase at this point, and if they want to debate me, I'll gladly go to Freepertown and do it, but I don't want pondscum in our neighborhood.

a lot of FR lurkers here. I don't see them post all that often and when they do they're usually tombstoned pretty quickly. But I would imagine there are tons of lurkers. I know I lurk at the FR site fairly often. I don't try to disrupt their discussions, I just like to keep an eye on those losers. Counter-intel, dontcha know.

I am guilty, of defending Limbaugh's right to be treated as an addict.
Not out of sympathy because of who he is, but because as smarmy as he is, I think there is a human in there someplace. (Of course, I could be wrong on the human thing). :evilgrin:

But I do believe, with all of my heart and soul, that if there is a chance to help someone, you try. In Limbaugh's case, I admit, it is almost as hard to defend his right to be treated humanely as it is to say the same thing about bush. But I cannot allow myself to go down the same evil dark path these guys go down, and fall prey to the double standard. I feel that if I do, I am no better than they are.

Once you give up the high ground, you might not get it back, that is one of the problems in the Dem party now.
