A take on Ahnuld's gropee's coming out now
Just a thought that occurred to me.

If, before T101 decided to become involved in politics, wouldn't the right wingnuts have written off (because Ahnuld was Ronald Reagan's personal pumper-upper) the sexual assault charges as being strictly in it for the money?

Hmm, on that thought, wasn't young Ron Jr. Gay? Maybe he's the reason why Ron Sr. decided to have Ahnuld be running around with Pops - RRJr. must have been salivating over those pseudo-porn muscle magazines.

1. My take on why they came forward now
Many victims are afraid of their attackers. Rumors have circulated for years about Schwarzenegger, and it seems quite plausible to me that these women saw him about to get into a position of power and this gave them the courage to come forward because they knew he would abuse this power just as he abused them. Also, once victims become aware of other victims there is a sense of safety in numbers (just look at the recent scandals in the catholic church, once one or two came forward the dam burst for the others)

3. I think he say this recall...
as his one chance to perhaps bypass the allegations.

There has been talk for many years here in CA about Arnie running for office -- he was never bashful about his political ambitions. From what I heard, there was serious talk about him running LAST time, but it was dropped because they were worried about the problems the allegations cause.

I think he saw thsi recall -- and especially it's VERY short campaign time -- as the one opportunity he might have to try a run with the minumum of fuss.
