Happy Anniversary, Bill Clinton!
...though a few hours early!

It was on Oct. 4, 1991 - barely four months before the first-in-the-nation primary in New Hampshire - that a relatively unknown Southern governor entered a muddled Democratic field and quickly grabbed the party's imagination.

Bill Clinton survived so-called "bimbo eruptions" to finish a surprisingly strong second in the Granite State. The self-titled "Comeback Kid" ripped through the rest of the primary season and then dislodged GOP incumbent George H.W. Bush, who had successfully prosecuted a war against Iraq.
