West Point classmate discusses Clark
Edited on Fri Oct-03-03 05:22 PM by Rowdyboy
"Gaines Dyer, who grew up in Greenville, and Wes Clark, raised in Little Rock Ark., got to know one another after they stepped on campus at the U.S. Military Academy, at West Point, NY, in the summer of 1962"

Interesting take from someone who's known him for 40 years...

3. Written by one of the editors in my hometown paper...
Orly Hood is a really good writer. Don't always agree with him, but he's unusually open-minded for a white, 50ish Mississippi male.

4. Wes Clark will win the General Election
Clark is a good man.

The REPUG activist are working real hard to have Clark get lost before the General.

Currently they are all in love with Dean....who is getting some real positive media coverage...I wonder why?

Bush team considers Dean formidable Republicans admit they underestimated Dem candidate

By Judy Keen
USA TODAY

WASHINGTON -- Republican Party officials and political advisers to President Bush admit that they underestimated Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean and say they now consider him a formidable potential adversary.

Some Bush allies say he reminds them of another insurgent candidate who once bedeviled Bush: Arizona Sen. John McCain. His wins in Republican primary elections in New Hampshire and Michigan rattled Bush's 2000 campaign.

''There is something going on there, and I tell you, if we don't pay attention . . . we're making a big mistake,'' says Tom Rath, a Republican strategist and Bush adviser in New Hampshire.

Don't believe the "unelectable" mem they push. And don't help push it.

8. I don't buy the "unelectable" BS about Dean either...
He's my second choice for the nomination. Actually, I believe most of our candidates are electable.

11. It's actually from the Jackson, Mississippi...
Clarion Ledger, the state capital's only major newspaper. "Southern Style" is just the section of the paper the article was printed in. This paper has a circulation of just over 100,000.

16. Waaaah!
Please, no tears here.

This site is for discussion, so to post as you did, well, that's pretty funny.

It's easy to say 'puff piece'. Spell it out. Take quotes and spell them out.

I haven't even read the article yet, but I can tell you have some issues with it THAT YOU HAVEN'T DETAILED! C'mon, I'm about to read it, but let us know what you dislike about it.

13. Did you notice something in there?

Clark lost his father early in life.

I don't think Clinton's dad was present in his son's life either.
