Is Cindy now relegated to page 18? |
|
Isn't nature as wonderful as the Repuke spin machine? While Katrina's aftermath now shows the repukes in all their coldhearted glory, it's interesting that Rove's spin machine didn't have to be activated in order to put Cindy Sheehan on a back burner. Instead, nature took the driver's seat, and brought forth a story unequaled by even the most creative of Rove's spin doctors.
What can we do about it, and should we do anything about it at all? Should we let nature takes its course, and allow the repukes to hang themselves as they try to push blame for the failures onto others? As we all know from sad experience, the attention span of WAY too many people can't handle more than one crisis at a time. It's been Karl Rover's greatest ability to keep the attention of the masses on something else when the crises become too close to GWB or Dickhead. He knows that people can't concentrate on too much. And that is why they are so powerful--they count on people keeping ignorant and not asking questions.

1. Yeah, well, Cindy threads have dropped like a rock on DU too. |
|
I posted Michael Moore's extensive update on what she's up to currently. Three people replied and the thread disappeared. One person had the balls to reply "Cindy Who?"
So don;t place ALL of the blame on the "Repuke spin machine."

2. Rovegate is gone as well. Anyone remember DSM? |
|
If you wait long enough, it all goes away.
This of course is not what a Presidential administration should not be so very good at. Solving their problems instead of those of the people they represent.
Just waxing nostaligic.

4. The Katrina aftermath story is gargantuan.... |
|
...it truly is....Cindy will find her way back into the spotlight, eventually. Now is not the time to worry about this, I think.

7. Cindy's doing her work on the ground. |
|
No problem with her being on page 18. She'll be back on page one later. Right now there seems to be more important issues--a President and staff who sat around and did nothing while thousands of people were dying in New Orleans.

8. Cindy is page two right now and rightfully so. She's taking |
|
a backseat to this story and will rise again to champion the victims. Randi said today that she and the vets she is traveling with tried to take aid to the victims of Katrina and weren't allowed in, so look for more stories in the future. If anyone isn't going to let Bush get away with this, it will be Cindy Sheehan.
