2. The media is gearing up full force to whore for Bush
everywhere, all I hear is these two messages:

The Democrats are wrong to politicize this.

Bush's actions prove that he is the right man for the job.

So...

something tells me that this won't bring Bush down. Not at all.

5. That's Rove in action
Only time will tell if it'll work. I think the damage is probably irreversible because first impressions are lasting.

8. Now is not the time to play the blame game, if they're not guilty...
...why are they saying this instead of blaming the Dems. They know they're in deep excrement or they wouldn't keep repeating this. If they could blame the Dems they would instead of crying "Blame Game, Blame Game" like retarded parrots. They can't get away with it.

17. I am hearing some of that
but lots of criticism of bush too.

Turn on Joe Scarborough. He is ranting about all of our elected officials. Geraldo on Faux was going after bush and FEMA.

I don't think this will bring bush down, but it will definitely make him a bit uncomfortable. I also think this will play a big role in the 2006 elections.

3. it sure as hell SHOULD be
whther or not it IS remains to be seen.

the media is letting some truth slip out because their routine got thrown into disarray and they don't have their new marching orders yet. but sooner or later, enough of them will start kow-towing to the banana republican powers-that-be.

the question is, how much lasting truth will have escaped before they clamp down?

4. He will come out of this smelling like a rose.
Within a week we will be hearing all about how well things are going, complete with interviews with grateful evacuees.

My money's still on the Plame investigation!

11. The waters are riseing... but no bush remains.
The waters continue to flood. The GOP is drowning and every day it goes up and up.

  • First they tried to kill Social Security and the levees broke.
  • Then they used a personal family tragedy for political gain, the water rose 6 feet and the GOP cohorts went to Higher ground.
  • Then they tried to ruin the senate, the water rose to 15 feet and still they took to higher ground losing some but still intact.
  • Then gas prices began to go yet higher, the waters then soared to 25 feet; some of the great Republican city was now not even visible.
  • Then it came out that the GOPs #2 man leaked the name of a CIA agent, he fled the surging waters and escaped for now; the water had risen to 30 feet.
  • Then the war got worse and worse and they tried to swift boat the mother of a fallen soldier, the water rushed in like a torrent to 40 feet.
  • Now a storm has ruined a city and they did nothing except blame the victims, the water rose still higher and higher to 50 feet.

Now Bush and Rove and every other Republican are trapped in the tallest towers of the Republican Party trapped like rats before they are drowned.

15. Good analogies...but now
will the media swoop in like the NG and save their wretched lying asses, yet again, by spinning this into another instance of Bush's "steadfast character"?

12. If this is not the tipping point, but the Breaking Point...
...I'm going to give up.

:banghead:
:banghead:

:banghead:
:banghead:

If the country's reaction to this doesn't bring about neeeded change, we are SO fucking Doomed.

:nuke:

That's all there is to it.

Past that, even having Bush caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy won't bring the bastard down.

14. I thought so at first, but I don't now
When all the shit was hitting the fan, I thought that Bush was going to go down big time. The media was hitting him hard on lack of leadership for coming back late from his vacation. It seemed like the images of Bush eating cake with McCain and playing his guitar while the hurricane was at full force would surely take him down.

Now it seems like Bush is able to shift blame onto anybody but himself. Now the rally cry is government failed, not Bush failed. Brown from FEMA and possibly Chertoff on the federal level will be made scapegoats and everyone will be happy.

16. Nope
No way. This guy is officially Teflon. We're talking about a military service evader who has successfully smeared three vets based on their ACTUAL MILITARY SERVICE. This situation is way too ambiguous and easily blurred. Frankly, if the WMD didn't get this idiot, nothing will.
