The Picture that says it all....

I was just watching the Imus interview with Tim Russert on Crooks and Liars (http://www.crooksandliars.com/)and throughout the clip they are showing footage of people wading through the filthy water of New Orleans. At the end of the clip, there is an African American woman wading chest high through the oily black water and the only thing you can read on her shirt is the word "VOTE". Is there any way we can get a freeze frame of this?? I think this photo speaks volumes. VOTE!! Vote in the people in '06 that can vote to remove Bush & Co. from office.

But I saw it a few days ago...this woman was Afr/Amer and maybe in 20s/early30s, wading out of a house where the water was chest-high.
I immediately noticed the shirt, but on its inevitable re-airings I could never read more of the shirt(white shirt, red/blue letters?.) But "VOTE" was arresting to see, wasn't it?

Don't know if this is what you saw too, but if it's what I saw last week (Fri?Thu?)---the same people---I guess the good news would be that they were in that water earlier rather than later, microbially-speaking. I hope the rescuers can save the still-stranded!

MSNBC has been looping this footage... I've seen it a couple of times this past week. I wish this was a Time Magazine cover... It just speaks volumes.
