We have debunked every talking point |
|
With documentation to prove it. Every single one. We have proven the case that the blame for this lies at the feet of George Bush. Yet they continue to spew the same filthy garbage unabated. How do you beat this? I just shake my head because I simply do not know. I don't know what the next step is. If we had a strong Democratic leadership...something would be happening. Yet we don't and it's not. Now, we have recruiters showing up at these shelters taking advantage of people that are in mourning...in mourning for their city and many in mourning for relatives. America, under the direction of Bush, is taking advantage of these people at their weakest for his own gain. They haven't even been on dry soil for a week and they want them to ship off to Iraq. How do we stop this? It's like watching a car careening out of control into a schoolhouse. There is nothing you can do to stop the madness. When will people (I don't count those 30% of fascist nuts who write on message boards and lick Bush and Rove's balls for sport while they listen to Rush and Fox--they are lost.) What does the average citizen do to stop this spiral of madness?

4. "trust me. this is not going away." You are very optimistic |
|
I think it will be dumb blind luck if it lasts even in a spun to death mode. I have head "trust me. this is not going away" on issue after issue after issue that dies, the only mourners being on DU and a few other sites, and a few off the blogosphere.
The spin is in full mode right now. 13% of people blame Shrub. If this is not itself spin, it is an attempt at spinning. Before all is said and done, it will be business as usual in DC. Puke agenda going through virtually unchallenged. Dems lining up to be within 10 feet of Shrub to bask in his "glory." The people of NOLA deserve better, but calls, e-mails, letters, cries for justice all, go ignored by pukes and Dems alike.
It is going to take a press as fair as it is free, and fair elections to do anything.

2. We do it again and again |
|
They had their talking points with the swift jerks on John Kerry. They had their talking points on Terri Schiavo. They had their talking points on Iraq and WMD. There's more, but those are at the top of my head.
We've debunked them all.
You are so right, too.

3. As Joseph Goebbels once said |
|
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

8. Aggressive repression of dissent is... |

...the next very critical phase for Bushco. They must stage another 9-11/Reichstag event to follow Katrina that will serve as the pretext for declaring Martial Law everywhere in the U.S. They're feeling renewed urgency in the wake of MSM's breaking ranks and covering the New Orleans disaster honestly. They know this is the kind of thing that could spark revolution---the only way Christo-Republifascists can now be displaced from power in our country. Here's their model: http://www.crisispapers.org/Editorials/germany-1933.htm

5. Only the press who've seen NO, and ourselves and other activists... |
|
remain angry, or even concerned, about this complete failure of governance, this humanitarian tragedy. That's how it looks to me today. And with the press pretty much doing its job, there's nowhere else to look except at the gullibility and/or lack of empathy of the majority of our people.

The mainstream corporate media will simply not report it. They have their orders. Time to start packing.

10. Since we don't control the media, and the internet is a place where |
|
you have to kinda know what you're looking for, (unless it's porn - then you just stumble on it no matter what you google), we need to do an end run around the "media".
One good way is to print flyers and put them on cars in parking lots . . .
