OMG! CNN - Pelosi quotes Bush saying "What didn't go right?"
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 12:21 PM by highplainsdem
after she pointed out to him that he should fire Brown for everything that went wrong, everything that didn't go right. She said he was "oblivious."

7. Yeah just look at him
At all those times meeting people, they'd 'talk' and 'brief' him, and he'd just sort of sway there with pursed lips, unfocused eyes, swaying around, not focusing on anything, not listening to anything.

To make it look like he is working. Remember these people are about the PR and about the moolah. They don't care about the government unless they can get rich.

4. From his perspective it was a success.
That goes for 9/11 and the war on Iraq as well. He and his cronies will be raking $$ in on NOLA, as they have done on the all the other catastrophes.

5. This Confirms My Suspicion That * Is Being Kept Out Of The Loop
This story indicates that * is being used as a puppet, much like Reagan was by Poppy and crew.

It would seem that his advisors are not telling him the truth about what is going on.

I've got two girls, five and eight years old. They know more what's going on on the Gulf Coast than the supposed President of the United States.

Remember that this was how they kept Reagan from getting the blame for Iran-Contra. He was just a sweet fellow who didn't know what was going on with his entire administration. It worked.

17. Bush is a sociopath. In his world everyone else
is there to serve his needs.

I've never bought the "bush is dumb" line. He's not dumb, he's dangerous.

22. Bush is no Reagan
Reagan was just old and only really falling apart as his alzheimers was starting in his second term... but anyone who knows Reagan's political history knows he was very politically astute. Now, I'm not defending Reagan policies here by any stretch.

The bottom line is that Reagan was an intellectual giant compared to Dubya.

He was also a SUPERB and very prolific letter writer.

And I had no love for the man either, but your assessment is on the mark.

6. HE"S MENTALLY ILL!!!
When are people in the general public going to see this?????????

If you're are not outraged by this you are NOT HUMAN or you are insane. Point fingers, scream about this. This man is insane.

Also, I refuse to have other people tell me how I should feel, who I should blame, etc. I saw the whole fucking thing on TV, as did many people. This was/is negligent homicide, genocide, murder, whatever you want to label it. But what it was/is NOT, is/was an accidental screw up.

8. So Was Reagan
It wasn't long after he left office that his deteriorating mental condition could no longer be hidden from the public.

20. Nancy also called Bush war a mistake, but then is doing NOTHING to stop it
I live in Nancy's neighborhood (well, very close, at least) and know that she is somewhat "oblivious" to the demands of the people in her district.

Nancy is famous for calling the war in Iraq a "grotesque mistake". Strong words, but Nancy is doing absolutely nothing to stop it, voting for funds that should be spent protecting the U.S. infrastructure and rebuilding the lives of the poor to occupy Iraq. She voted another $82 billion for this "mistake" just last May. She has refused to support even the mildist of resolutions calling for a date for withdraw of the troops.

If we are to build a better society we must hold all people accountable for their actions. That is why United for Peace and Justice will go to Nancy's office on September 26th and demand real action, real opposition to the Bush agenda.

For more on Nancy, go here: http://www.tomjoad.org/Pelosi.htm

21. About Ray-Gun !!!!
I watched him speak at the 76 convention. He was awsome. By 80, he was already losing it. He went steady downhill and they protected him every step of the way, except his henchmen couldn't keep their hands out of the cookie jar. Within a year after leaving office, he was mostly gone. A total KRS.
