15. If any "good" can come out of this, perhaps |
|
an awareness of the "two Americas" so often spoken of by John Edwards will finally be absorbed and understood by those who have, until now, paid little attention to his message.

2. Aaron has been doing a good job, but.... |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-08-05 10:20 PM by xray s
....people are SURPRISED to find out there is poverty in the US?
Right. That's what happens when you work for the infotainment industry, Aaron. See what the nonstop focus on celebrity crime and sensational white women at risk stories gets you?
Don't pretend to be surprised Aaron, you are smarter than that.

3. Two Americas. John Edwards was trying to wake people up to this |
|
issue long before now. He is a wonderful, loving, caring person - and Elizabeth. They can be leaders of this country that we feel we have lost.
Nobody wanted to talk about this. But John Edwards insisted. Now it's on the front pages. May he have a chance to help us out of this shameful situation, and offer liberty and justice and pursuit of happiness for all.

... and white $80,000.
He went on to talk about the provision of genuine opportunity for all.
What I don't get is that if African American wealth increases shouldn't the right-wing-freak-show be happy that they've got a bigger domestic market to play with?

20. But that would also mean that more African Americans will be... |
|
educated, wealthy, will have the opportunity to move up the ladder, and will actively compete at the highest level of jobs with whites (over time). Right wing corporates don't want competiton... they want to suppress as many people as possible to maintain their hold on the wealth of this nation. And, I'm not even being overtly partisan!

25. The corporatocracy would have to work to earn their wealth if |
|
working people had more economic power.
The way it is now, you can get desperate people to do whatever you want them to do and they don't have the political power to counter your influence with the government, and the corporatocracy are quite happy with the current arrangements.

4. God I Wish That Man Was The Vice-President Now... |
|
That's why when he runs in 08 I'll support him before any of the others. The man just has common sense. And we need that in the White House.
I don't envy the person that takes over the oval office on Janurary 20, 2009. They'll have one hell of a mess on their hands. I think an Edwards White House could clean up that mess.

We all know John Edwards is the uninaugurated Vice-President of the United States. I'll go to my death bed with the belief that Kerry/Edwards won Ohio and the Diebold machines in Ohio and Florida and Ken Blackwell stole the election.
But if we (Democrats) would just reach out to new voters and voters who can vote but don't instead of trying to split the the "soccer Moms" and "NASCAR Dads" with the Republicans. We can offset those f*cked up machines.
Those were the same machines in place in 1992 and 1996.

that the Ohio Democratic Party gets it together by 2006 to get rid of those corrupt Republicans down their so they can get rid of those Diebold machines and put better and more voting machines in the big cities so all those Democratic votes don't have to stand in long lines in 2008 and beyond.

11. No question in the universe: Kerry/Edwards WON. |
|
Edwards wanted to fight, but ...
Elizabeth will be well, and we will live to fight another day. We NEED to ditch the rigged voting machines, but I believe our next ticket will garner enough votes that the results will be beyond corruption.
We WILL win.

Sheesh-- these people just don't get it. That's a worry. If they haven't come to their senses by now, I don't think they ever will.
Though some former repukes have seen the light.
You just never know. People can be very unpredictable.

been sucking on Rove's teet for so long that's all they now. They are Republicans...it's their nature not to think for themselves.
You know if the President's name was Clinton or Gore or Kerry or Kennedy they'd be calling for impeachment. Though if somebody named Clinton or Gore or Kerry or Kennedy were President this would never have happened or atleast they would have responded much faster.

It is so damned refreshing to listen to a person who can string two sentences together without smirking, "uh uh uh-ing" and mangling language. And it is even more refreshing to listen to someone who really DOES get it, who DOES understand that there are extremely poor and disadvantaged people in this country!
Damn damn damn. If only.....

It was over all a pleasant interview- typical Edwards.
Candid about race being a factor- did not back down on that one.
I wish he had a little bit more experience- otherwise a great VP or perhaps POTUS candidate.
