OMG!! CNN has filed suit! They've filed suit!
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 05:18 PM by sparosnare
Lou Dobbs has just reported that CNN has filed suit in Federal Court against any agency that would restrict their covering of the search and recovery of bodies.

Going to find it in print (if I can)

be shown on TV, because that would traumatize the families of the victims. (Covering the face or doing something else to block the victim's identity would be OK as long as warnings for terrible graphic content were given.) But we MUST have truth in reporting, including real, unfudged death toll and documentation of the extent of the disaster. Also including the fact that much of the death and disaster was due to what must be deliberate delays and blocks of aid by the Bush Administration.

Thread title: NPR Reports: GW to Blanco"I'll send in the troops if you answer to the WH"

In this connection PLEASE SEE THIS VITALLY IMPORTANT THREAD, INCLUDING THE INFO IN ALL THE REPLIES. (For example, the opening post omits the important Wash Post documentation of this incident and the statement by a "senior Administration official" that Bush wanted to take over authority.) Now we are starting to see one reason for the deliberate delays and blocks: George Bush BLACKMAILED Gov Blanco to turn over civil powers to him. The delays were pressure tactics. I also believe they are intended to incite "civil disturbances" around the country, for these are legal "justifications" for Bush suspending the Constitution and initiating widespread martial law. This is NOT tinfoilhattery, there is a long history behind it and much supporting evidence. Please see the links and threads in my posts in the blackmailing thread above.

I've been gravitating to CNN during the hurricane coverage on cable news. Especially with Anderson Cooper's go get'em attitude coupled with his sincere compassion for the victims, it really pulled me in. It was good to see someone in journalism with sincere compassion and humility, for once.

With the exception of KO, MSNBC has nothing to offer. KO is the only reason MSNBC ever comes on in my house.

76. 'Convention Center Horror' video on CNN
http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/09/10/katrina.media/index.html

CNN successfully has trumped all guv agencies, and is allowed to shoot pics of the bodies as well as remain on the ground and in the city, exempt from the order to evacuate.

Has anyone else seen the Anderson Cooper interview in the convention center with Dr. Greg Henderson, a Charity Hospital doctor? It's on CNN's site and is in the video section titled 'Convention center horror'.

A warning to anyone who can't stomach dead and mutilated bodies: proof is in this video that the horrors did happen.

THIS video I want. I want to add this to my collection of stuff that will make history once Bushco is impeached. I also want to see him brought up for murder charges. I know he didn't cause the hurricane, but ignoring cries for help by your own citizens who are dying because you won't help them live nearly falls under genocide in my eyes.

THIS and Iraqnam are going to be his legacy.

The noose tightens...hope this son of a bitch burns...
