WJ CSPAN question: Should there be a blame game? |
|
Hope we have some people able to call in and talk about this as accountability and change the rhetoric a bit.

Like your president - you put ideology & politics over real problem solving
Bush cut FEMA to the bone.
He appointed another one of his underqualified incompetents to run it.
He spent the first 4 days in a daze.
They screwed up. So badly that they had to call in Cheney to fire Brown.
The mayor of NO got his city 80% evacuated because he knew a hurricane was coming. Those are damn good numbers. Bush didn't seem to get it -- too busy fundraising for the GOP eating birthday cake and hanging out w Country Music stars.
FEMA and Bush made this disaster worse. There is no hiding it. So stop trying.

6. The bottom line is this: |
|
The governor and mayor looked like they were doing something. The impotent pResident couldn't be bothered to even look like he was concerned for the drowning, and starving victims. He couldn't be bothered to cancel his vacation plans, he couldn't be bothered to reschedule fund raisers, and he couldn't be bothered until it became a widespread political disaster.
I've spent 20 years as a military officer and I can guarantee you the military could have very easily responded in fewer than three days. That's what we train for, that is our bread and butter. In today's technological society, if we waited to respond to an attack for three days, we would simply lose the war. Responding to an attack is no different than responding to this disaster. The problem was that our Commander-In-Chief failed to give the orders.

These callers are incredibly ignorant of the facts. Once again, they refuse to blame Bush for a slow response. They have their facts wrong about the governor of Louisiana. Moreover, NONE OF THEM HAVE DISCUSSED THE SLOW RESPONSE TO GULFPORT AND BILOXI MISSISSIPPI1! Fox news has once again misled these people.

Bush is president. If he wants the rewards, he needs to assume the responsibilities.

10. The caller from Shreveport LA was very good |
|
She made the point about the school busses not being used. She said that by Friday night the hotels and motels were fulled booked and they are 300 miles away. So where would they go.

11. It's called "ACCOUNTABILITY" |
|
It's called holding the bush* mis-administration accountable -- it's called taking responsibility....
We have news reports 2-3 days before the hurricane hit talking about it being a cat-5, and the high probability of the levee's breaking -- and the bushies* know nothing about it?
We know that bush* doesn't "read" the papers -- and now we know he probably doesn't watch the news either.
Reporters were in the area reporting about the conditions in the Superdome, the flooding, lack of food/water/sanitation -- and the bushies* knew nothing about it?
It's called holding this mis-administration ACCOUNTABLE

12. When The Bring Up Blanco, I Bring Up Barbour |
|
People in Misssissippi are pissed with the slow reponse.
What's the problem Hayeley? Not enough starving black people to kick around and blame? No Democrats willing to play toadie?
If someone brings up Blanco having to turn her state into meeester booshes Haliburton fiefdom, let's find out if Mr. Barbour had to sign the same declaration or Mr. Riley in Alabama. I'll give you a hint, they didn't.
There's a nasty game that was being played on the suffering people of Lousiana and their major crime was having a Democrat elected as their governor. This is why we need a truly independent investigation into ALL aspects of this fiasco.

13. C-Span has been useless for years |
|
Conversation about the events in NO has been re-labeled to 'BLAME GAME'. And dems are falling for it, (as usual)
People praise C-Span for their fairness but it's been a long time since they have displayed any objectivity. All of theur questions of the day is made up of RW talking points.
Why isn't the question "should there be accountability now?" Thus is just a trick to get dems to accept a RW label (blame game) and gree they are participating in something negative called blame game. Just like CNN they changed their format to accommodate the RW. With a dem and rep sitting across from each discussing issues, the the RW idiot was constantly exposed as vicious, rude, and lying idiots. So they changed it to a RW unopposed idiot spewing unopposed and uncorrected EVERY MORNING. Count the days that you don't see a RW idiot on. Now count thedays that you don't see a dem rep on. Big difference.
They 'balance' that by occasionally having a milquetoast dem 'like' representative but the conversation is kept steered toward irrelevant and boring non-issues.
When there is a dem there who might pull the wool off the idiot in chief then they sit someone across from him to interrupt and shout him down keeping his points from being heard.
RW callers never have to discuss anything, but C-Span host (all of them) will let them ramble, spew talking points, and name call. But, the maniute a dem caller start making valid points against Bush the hand immediately goes to button on the phone, the host looks for half a pause and 'poof; rudely they are gone. Whats' more, rarely does the host ask the guest to comment on valid negative points made by a dem caller, they just move right to the next call.

15. The BLAME game started with Bush when he requested the |
|
state sign a declared insurrection form before sending help. By doing this, the appearance is made to look like putting the pressure on the one who needs help, thus the blame game begins!
