PLEASE READ: Former FEMA director Joe Allbaugh is a busy little boy!
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 03:20 PM by Bluebear
WHERE is the press on this? Where is the FBI & CIA in checking out these people?? Jeff Gannon gets White House press access using a phony name. Joe Allbaugh is a college buddy. Brown is a horse show judge. Karen Hughes is a ---- what the hell is she anyhow? What qualifies her to a State Department position? What will her pension be? THE MOST CORRUPT ADMINISTRATION. EVER!

=======

Joe Allbaugh

"At least two major corporate clients of lobbyist Joe Allbaugh, President George W. Bush's former campaign manager and a former head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, have already been tapped to start recovery work along the battered Gulf Coast.

One is Shaw Group Inc. and the other is Halliburton Co. subsidiary Kellogg Brown and Root. Vice President Dick Cheney is a former head of Halliburton.

Bechtel National Inc., a unit of San Francisco-based Bechtel Corp., has also been selected by FEMA to provide short-term housing for people displaced by the hurricane. Bush named Bechtel's CEO to his Export Council and put the former CEO of Bechtel Energy in charge of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation...

Allbaugh formally registered as a lobbyist for Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg Brown and Root in February....

Allbaugh is also a friend of Michael Brown, director of FEMA who was removed as head of Katrina disaster relief and sent back to Washington amid allegations he had padded his resume. A few months after Allbaugh was hired by Halliburton, the company retained another high-level Bush appointee, Kirk Van Tine. Van Tine registered as a lobbyist for Halliburton six months after resigning as deputy transportation secretary, a position he held from December 2003 to December 2004.

====

Prior to his appointment as Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, he served as Chief of Staff to then-Governor Bush. He was the point person for nine presidential disaster declarations and more than 20 state level emergencies. He also happened to serve as National Campaign Manager for the Bush-Cheney 2000 campaign, with the responsibility and oversight for all related activities. He had a lot of experience having already served as Campaign Manager for Bush's first run for governor of Texas and also worked on the Reagan-Bush campaign in 1984. Allbaugh is obviously well-connected and quoted as saying, "There isn't anything more important than protecting Governor Bush and the first lady. I'm the heavy in the literal sense of the word." When Allbaugh resigned from FEMA there was barely mention of it in the press. Friends, this FEMA stench goes deep and wide.

1. one of the main reasons he's where he is: Funeralgate
big thread on that here

I talked to three well known reporters about that a few years ago on the radio....

I opened with the question of who Eliza May is. NONE of them knew

they being Ron Fournier, Mike Tackett and Jim Warren

if you don't know who they are, well, they're pretty high up there.

they all agreed that this would be NO story during the election, even after I tried to convince them that the parallels between Bush testifying (perjury, anyone) and CLinton being FORCED to talk about PJ, were obvious and that there was a Pulitzer prize out there for anybody with the slightest interest in doing a little bit of work.

they sickened me with their poo pooing of the story

.....Brown was recommended for the FEMA position by Joe Allbaugh, his predecessor and long time friend.

In a statement released today, Allbaugh said Brown had worked under him at FEMA for two years.

"He learned the system and was my logical successor," the statement read. ......

9. You forgot Rupert/Saudi. Don't forget that a large portion of
America gets their news from Rupert's best buds & shareholders, the Saudis. Now I understand that although 14 of the 19 terrorists were identified as Saudis, we invaded Iraq.
