even in N. Dallas the bush bumper stickers are disappearing |
|
Here, in the belly of the red state beast, I am seeing fewer and fewer w bumper stickers. Long after the election they were still widely seen, mostly on SUV's or the smaller cars of young Christian types. But when things kept getting worse in Iraq, there were noticeably less of them. And now? Yes there are a few around, but I really do believe people are removing them. I hope so. If even the base, those who will vote Republican no matter what, the kind most likely to adorn their vehicle with a bumper sticker, are removing them, then perhaps we've turned the corner.
Bring on election 2006.

give them hell...I have a sign in my car that I show them: F-Bu$H, and you too! It only costs a few cents, but the irritation it causes is priceless! I am so angry I don't care what they do...and most scurry away and back off...or they never look my way. The way I look at is they have to pay, by being embarassed at least, for their continued outward support of the Bu$hco Cabal.

I wouldn't mind slapping the "Don't Blame Me - I Voted for Kerry" bumpersticker on my car.

I saw one of those stickers recently. I believe you can get one from a store at Cafepress.com.

9. I'm about ready to declare open season on "W" stickers |
|
If I'm in the right mood, and if it's a secure location, I'll rip the sticker off.

Red. There is a very noticeable decline in W or Bush supporting stickers. I look out for bumper stickers, my on the road hobby. When I see a W sticker, I like to shake my head and see what these idiots look like when I drive by them.

at drivers of vehicles with w bumber stickers. I made these signs for this purpose:
*who would Jesus torture *don't trust science, just put your faith in W *W: the polluter *W's health care plan, don't get sick *leave no millionaire behind *I stand with Halliburton
and a few others.

8. Perhaps they're talking to NOLA people |

Maybe as more and more kind Texans who are helping out the evacuees start talking to them, it will sink in that it was the aftermath that was the real disaster.
It wasn't the hurricane that killed thousands, it was the flood waters ... THAT was entirely preventable. The delay in rescue and getting supplies in there only adds to the catastrophe.
I think when they start hearing first hand accounts in person ... that may be the thing that starts to change the degree that Texas is "red"....
