I personally believe it has just as much to do with CLASS as it does with race. The majority of the people in NO were black, but a few were white as well. All were people of less means, so I am thinking it's more of a class issue - you know, rich vs. poor.

Anyhow, I don't want this to distract from the very fact that this disaster, much to the chagrin of Bush & Cheney, has GALVANIZED Americans of every race and ethnicity.

9. I've been wondering if "it's about class, not race" is actually...

a Republican hat trick to cover up their true intentions. Look, if it's about class, then "everyone understands" (well, sort of), but if it's about race, then the American people would be a lot more unsettled about that. I'm just trying to get into a Republican mindset (and oh boy, do I hate the feeling).

10. I agree, and the more he's painted with the

racist brush the more it takes away from his incompetence. I don't think we can have it both ways and his lack of ability is much easier to pin down than some notion that on a racism scale of 1 to 10 he's a 5 or an 8.

He's a sociopath with little regard for anyone, including those that are "close" to him. At least with the likes of Cheney, Rove, Kindasleezy, Rummy and the rest of them I can give you an answer regarding what motivates them. I might be wrong, we might disagree, but I don't the end result would be that disturbing.

With the Chimp, I don't think it's money, patriotism, 15 minutes of fame, racism, whatever. I think it has more to do with his parents.
