The Big Dog will be on Larry King Live Friday |
|
For efforts like the Katrina relief effort, Bill Clinton is the right person to be involved.
I loathe King though... but Bill is always a compelling interview, and if you know how to read between the lines in his speaking, you will be able to see that he isn't half the defender of the Bushes many people erroneously believe. It's putting people first, and politics should always take a back seat to humanitarian work. But I know how Bill communicates (comes with having political acumen and listening comprehension skills), and the program should be close-captioned with his code.
Besides, it is comforting knowing it drives the Repukes crazy that their criminal idols the Bushes are kind to Bill these days. Drives. Them. Nuts. Far more than it should be driving us nuts that he even associates with them. I say it's a costly but fair trade.

1. It seems to me as though acumen is becoming ... |

a scarce commodity around here of late. I think anything past simple declarative sentences stymie some and you can forget about reading between the lines.
Bill is very subtle but the barbs are wicked sharp and difficult to extract.

2. Carefully chosen words |
|
I don't think you have to read between the lines so much with Clinton as listen to his carefully chosen words.

Cult of Personality Living Colour (V Reid, C. Glover, W. Calhoun, M. Skillings)
Look into my eyes, what do you see? Cult of Personality I know your anger, I know your dreams I've been everything you want to be I'm the Cult of Personality
Like Mussolini and Kennedy I'm the Cult of Personality Cult of Personality Cult of Personality
Neon lights, A Nobel Price The mirror speaks, the reflection lies You don't have to follow me Only you can set me free I sell the things you need to be I'm the smiling face on your T.V. I'm the Cult of Personality
I exploit you still you love me I tell you one and one makes three I'm the Cult of Personality Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi I'm the Cult of Personality Cult of Personality Cult of Personality
Neon lights a Nobel Prize A leader speaks, that leader dies You don't have to follow me Only you can set you free
You gave me fortune You gave me fame You gave me power in your God's name I'm every person you need to be I'm the Cult of Personality

5. I don't know how much relevance these song lyrics might have ... |
|
nor the philosophical, logical or personal characteristics of Mssrs. Reid, Glover, Calhoun, and Skillings. But if you take comfort from their words.
Or consider, on the contrary, the contribution of Mssrs. Gibb:
It's just your jive talkin' you're telling me lies, yeah Jive talkin' you wear a disguise Jive talkin' so misunderstood, yeah Jive talkin' You really no good.
