Republicans shoot down investigation of government failures in hurricane
aftermath...They are the majority and to hell with everybody else. Screw you all! That is their message. Let them spin it the way they want. We don't need no stinking investigation.

Sen. Hillary Clinton proposed the investigation but it was shot down along strict party lines. All 54 votes against it were Republican votes.

1. I think they are making a serious mistake.
Investigation should always be applauded. This won't play well in Peoria.

3. Right
Going along with an investigation says you have nothing to hide.

5. That vote COULD be their downfall!
I realize they are trying to protect their leader, but when the questions are never answered, the people assume the worst! Little stories will continue to leak out, every day! Yesterday, I heard that it was really Chertoff who stalled the Fed response to Katrina because he didn't know HE had the authority to activate the 82nd airborne, and other assets he had at his disposal.

If each one of these accusations are not proven or disproven, the public will assume what they hear is true!

If I'm right, maybe it's a good thing that they're being obstructionists. It will drown them!

6. Contact Congressional Black Caucus. Ask them why rich, white
people in NYC deserve an investigation but poor, black people in NO do not?

7. Because thr truth would affect the 2006 election outcome - which the
repugs fear mostly as Bush numbers continue to sink.

8. THANKS REPUBLICANS!
You just gave me a great talking point!

Thanks again!

"Why Republicans don't even want an independent investigation!"

"Should we really trust them not to look after their cronies?"

"Gee I wonder what the Republican findings will be? Oh yeah...they'll blame the nearest Democrats they can find, of course."

"Should we really call the Republican investigation an investigation? Shouldn't it be called the cover Bush's ass committee?"

Thanks again, dumbfucks.

Bwahahahahaha

9. Call your Republican Senators
And give them hell. They don't know when you call them wether you are a Democrat or Republican. Just call them and tell them that you will never vote for them again for covering this failure of a President. * poll numbers are falling, let them know that this president has coattails and will take them down with him.

10. When the Dems regain the majority
What they should do is make those bastards suffer by doing to them what they have been doing to Dems and to the country for all these years. There should be investigations out the ass,and they should be told NO at everything they suggest or want to do.They should be ridiculed and slimed at every opportunity, and shut out of "bi-partisan" meetings....let them get a taste of their own medicine and see how it feels. I will never understand why repukes have to be so hateful and so partisan. That is NOT the way the Senate and Congress is supposed to be. Surely to God there ought to be SOMETHING these idiot repukes could agree with dems on....but boy they would rather have poles stuck up their asses rather than be open to other ideas other than their own. This is why I hate those bastards so much. It's THEIR way or the highway. :grr:
