So many posts re: Bush potty break pic
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 01:32 PM by Whoa_Nelly
Sure would like these to stop. Not only is it juvenile, (and so much like that OTHER forum group that begins with the letters "FR"), these posts keep pushing other discussions/news/info off the first page.

So what if he wrote that he needed a bathroom break? We all know he can't stay focused or engaged in any ongoing meeting or event. And, although this pic certainly serves to point this out, I personally could care less if he needed a potty break or not.

Just my opinion that I find it a bit offensive that so many can be so focused on this bit of trivial and uneccessary "news".

on edit:
IMO, these potty posts are right up there with focusing on Roberts' eyes, when the real issues regarding him being confirmed SCOTUS CJ are much more important.

1. And here's another one!
Congrats!

Here's a hint: The way to increase the signal-to-noise ratio is NOT to complain about the noise.

7. My opinion regarding this
is not promoting more potty pic posts. It's just the opposite.

Hint: Stay focused on the real issues.

2. It is news in that it signals a new attitude of open contempt for Junior
On the part of some media, anyway. Reuters, in particular, who then sent it out on the wires.

Oh, yeah, it's news. Because the mystique surrounding the little dweeb has been dispersed and the respect is gone. As it should be.

4. But how many potty pic posts do there really need to be?
How many posts could a potty pic pick if a potty pic could pick a best post?

6. Eeeeew! No potty picking! Don't start that, now!

I think this tickles so many people that they're bursting (No, don't go there! ) to write about it, if only because it's TRUE and ludicrous all at once.

5. So what if Howard Dean gave a little shoutout after making a speech?

Besides, it's a symptom of a greater disease. It dovetails perfectly with this Newsweek article which reports that one of the reasons why Bush was so slow to respond to Katrina is because his aides have learned that he doesn't like receiving bad news.

Roost, welcome your chickens home.

10. so why add yet another post
the best way to keep a thread being bumped to the top is not to start the thread in the first place

i will be honest w. you while i sit trapped far away from my storm-tossed home, at least the "potty news" has given me a tiny reason to smile

11. Yeah, but Roberts' eyes show us WHY he shouldn't be appointed;
I've never seen eyes even vaguely that whacky that weren't firmly attached to an axe murderer.

Just so you know...

13. And women don't want him appointed, and Arlen Specter doesn't seem
too pleased with him, which are two good enough reasons for me to beleive he shouldn't get the job.

The weaselatory non-answers and the googly eyes seal the deal, though.

14. I agree. Adolescense is something Rovbots have worked very hard
to teach the freepers. Hitler "grew his people down" too. We have nothing to learn from them.

15. DISAGREE. Best way to get the Rs out of the WH is to LAUGH them out!
The Reuters photo of the hall-pass note is going to be a big part of Dubya's LEGACY. Just like "trying to stay out of harm's way" on 9/11, calling for a "crusade" after 9/11, choking on a pretzel, waving "hello" to Stevie Wonder, falling off a Segway, etc.

Only comedians will be sorry to see this one go!

I sure hope he says or does something unintentionally hilarious tonight, during his Jackson Square photo-op!
