What's your worst case scenerio for Bush's speech tonight?
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 02:25 PM by Melodybe
Mine would be one of two things, either he declares that he is the chimperor and there is nothing we can do about it, or he declares we are getting into a nuclear war.

So what is the worst thing that Bush could say tonight?

1. "I'm handling everything, don't worry"

Or: "God told me to (fill in the blank)".

2. It's going to be bad enough - Rove is in charge of the recovery.
That in itself is pretty scary.

17. Martial law will be declared across the country.
And a reinstatement of the draft - to supply enough soldiers for the new war with Syria and Iran.

that I am unable to avoid watching it.

I know what he's going to say, how stupid he is going to sound. He is too much of an embarrassment for me to watch him at all.

Cheers

13. Initiatives
1) Secure Streets - Bush needs to declare martial law

2) Reconstruction - Bush needs a blank check with no oversight to organize the rebuild effort.

3) Fair Wages - Bush needs to have labor that is not union control (we know those nasty unions will try to rip off the companies), all wage levels will be set by government.

4) Damage Amelioration - Due to extensive emergency , we will not have congressional elections in 2006. Everyones term will be extended 2 years for this one time only emergency.

16. Brown nominated to Supreme Court
Seriously, his talk is supposed to be about "reconstruction" (how I wish they didn't use that term) of a major southern city/area, right? My worst case scenario is that he will use scare tactics to beef up homeland security and severely curtail citizens rights.

More eminent domain, more martial law, and $$ going to Haliburton

Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 03:08 PM by flannelmouth
He will have Mayor Ragin standing at his side. They will declare that N.O. is opening up faster than anybody thought. Bush will congratulate the mayor for getting most of the people out of town and saving thousands of lives. (400-500 dead out of 500000) The city will be rebuilt blah blah blah. And people will say “see it was just the media blowing it all out of proportion, where is that girl in Aruba” Don’t be shocked.

Opps. I still move my lips when I type, I was thinking Ray Nagin but my tongue got tangled in my eye teeth.
