Register your guess for how many times he will refer to 911 tonight
in relation to Katrina.

My guess is 1:2

For every two times he mentions Katrina, he will invoke 911 once.

Anyone volunteer to keep count?

4. I'd guess 7 times.
It's actually an understandable juxtaposition; if you regularly make political mileage on 9/11 victims, why not try to add some Katrina victims to your mileage total?

I just want the teleprompter to lose power right before he goes on, so he has to stutter and stammer in front of the cameras and show us again just how in over his head this overgrown frat boy truly is.

5. He will wrap himself in every President who ever made a mistake
& apologized. He will be the "apologizing president" this week at least. He will give us an itemized list of famous apologies. The black & white backdrop of Kennedy is being silk screened right now.

First responders are having clean first responder suits sent down from storage in the Pentagon. They are in make-up right now. They will line up behind him in:

1) Hardhats
2) Policehats
3) Firemen hats
4) Helicopter hats
5) Cowboy hats
6) Indian dress

"Hey! - Y M C A"

8. Some reference to terrists? 9-11. Chemical weapons. Bio. Nuc-U-lar.
Many many times. It will be a full bore fear fest.

Biggest one will be a phrase along the lines of "An event that would Eclipse Katrina" with scenarios describing various bio/chem/Mushroom cloud attacks.

And he'll need MORE POWER!
Just to keep us safe. :eyes:

Since the title asks for an actual count, I will make a wild stab and say that he will reference 9-11....

17 times.

11. Who? WHO? WHO THE FUCK?
Who, WHO, can stand to watch that motherfucker??? Or even hear his voice?

Hell, in our home, we rip pages apart if there's even a picture of any of them. Photos on covers of magazines get redecorated with Sharpies.

Did I mention that I hate him?

14. I had this large feeling today
It's gonna go away, just like everything does with this murderous band of thugs squatting illegally in the Oval Office. There will be no repercussions, no responsibility taken, no firings, no investigation, no nothing.

It's as if the American people have lost their collective sense of self, or, at a minimum, their sense of outrage.

And, of course, the fact that the Democrats are busy being silent and spineless doesn't hurt, either.

Reagan wasn't Teflon - this guy is.

15. Never mind any of that I want to count how many time he blames
local and state officials.

In the brief excerpts I have heard, he said, i am parapharsing,

"City and State officials need to have plans for disasters and terrorism etc."

In other words, they didn't have the plans and it is their fault.

But I ask this, where is the money going to come from, he has cut most federal funding from first responders. Asshole.

In the end it is his fault, but this is a nice maneuver to get the focus off of him.

17. My guess is 23 times - a nice prime number...
and I may or may not watch him. I am sure someone with a stronger stomach than I will be able to watch and count and report tomorrow.

I watched about 20 seconds of his admission the other day that he was 'responsible'. Tough to watch the most powerful person in the world try to speak in complete coherent sentences and to know at the same time that he represents me and mine to others around the world. Painful.

19. I'm not sure evoking 9-11 is going to work
anymore. We now know how woefully unprepared the gloriously ballyhooed (and amazingly well funded) Dept. of Homeland Security is. So...mentioning 9-11, in the wake of "Arabian Horse" Brown might not be such a smart move.
Bush has always used fear to his advantage. Fear the terrorists. Fear Hussein. Fear the Taliban.
It's just that now, we're afraid of him.
He's not the cowboy Daddy anymore. He's the guy who was forced to finally take responsibility, like a petulant little boy, and who has to ask Miss Condi if he can go to the bathroom.
So. The macho posturing is ringing hollow.
I'm not sure he's got anything else in his arsenal.

...but since he doesn't, I expect him to mention it about three times.

Edited after the speech to add that I have to give his speechwriter some credit for brains anyway. As far as I can tell, he only mentioned it ONCE. Somebody must have clued them in to the fact that he ran 9/11 into the ground a long time ago.
